Hernandina

Hernandina is a variety of clementines selected Picassent Valencia in Spain in 1966.
The plant appears to be of medium vigor, shows the dense foliage, the leaves larger than the Clementino common, from which it differs for the darker color of the bark of the trunk and branches. The fruit of Hernandina shape is oblate, the peel has a color not uniform. The pulp in a couple earlier than the skin.
The vesting period can be placed between late January and mid February, also in relation to climatic conditions and the rootstock.
